Cookie notice
What this website stores in your browser, and how to stop it. It's a short notice because there's very little to tell.
Last updated 22 October 2026
The short version
- This website sets Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in our banner. Until you do, it sets none.
- It uses no advertising or social media trackers, and doesn't follow you around other sites.
- It stores one small preference in your browser, only if you close the "Book a demo" card, and you can stop that below.
The law that covers this, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), applies to cookies and to similar technologies such as your browser's local storage, so we list both here.
Analytics cookies
If you accept, we use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and how they found us, so we can improve the site. It's provided by Google, which processes the data for us. We've turned off Google signals and advertising features, so nothing is used to show you ads. If you reject, or ignore the banner, nothing is sent to Google at all.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells Google Analytics that two visits came from the same browser, with a random ID. | 2 years |
_ga_9JHS15Y5XH | Keeps track of your current visit for Google Analytics. | 2 years |
saiela-analytics-consent | Local storage, not a cookie: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don't ask on every page. It's strictly necessary to honour your choice. | 12 months, then we ask again |
You can also do this from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you change your mind after accepting, we delete the analytics cookies. Google's own notice explains how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
What we store
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
saiela-demo-card-closed | Local storage | Remembers that you closed the "Book a demo" card, so it doesn't keep reappearing. It holds the time you closed it and nothing else: no identifier, and it's never sent to us. | Used for 7 days. It stays in your browser until you clear it or object below. |
We don't ask for consent for this because PECR allows storage whose only purpose is to adapt a website to a preference you have set, as long as we tell you about it and give you a simple, free way to object.
Stopping it
Use this button to remove what we've stored and stop us storing it again on this device.
Turn on JavaScript to use this control, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
To honour your choice we keep a note of it in your browser under saiela-storage-objection. You can also clear this site's data, or block it, in your browser's settings at any time.
Hosting and security
This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare can set strictly necessary security cookies, such as __cf_bm, if its bot protection is switched on. If a security cookie is ever set on visitors to this website, we'll list it here first.
The Saiela console
When you sign in to the Saiela console, it sets these cookies. They're all strictly necessary to sign you in and keep your account secure, except pmt_remember, which is set only if you ask the console to remember you. Each is encrypted or holds only a random ID, and none is used for analytics or advertising.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
pmt_auth | Keeps you signed in. | Ends after 2 hours without use (1 hour for auditors), and 12 hours after you signed in at the latest. |
pmt_af | Protects the console's forms against cross-site request forgery. | Until you close your browser. |
pmt_br | A random ID for this browser, so we can email you when someone signs in from a browser we haven't seen before. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy. | 400 days. |
pmt_remember | Fills in your email address next time, only if you tick "Save email and login method on this device". It never signs you in by itself. | 180 days, or until you sign in with the box unticked. |
pmt_pending | Remembers which address is waiting for a sign-in code, between the two sign-in pages. | 20 minutes. |
pmt_tried | Puts back an address the sign-up or sign-in page couldn't accept, so you can correct it without typing it again. | 5 minutes. |
pmt_firm | Tells the next page, after you enter your code, that your firm already uses Saiela. | 10 minutes. |
Cloudflare, which protects the console, can also set strictly necessary security cookies, such as __cf_bm, to tell people from bots. The Saiela browser extension keeps your organisation's settings in the browser so it can protect prompts; it's covered by our extension privacy notice.
Changes
If we ever add anything else, such as analytics, we'll update this notice first and ask for your consent wherever the law requires it.
