FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LONDON, 27 October 2026: SimpleKPI, the independent London software company behind the SimpleKPI performance dashboard, today launches Saiela, an AI protection tool for UK accountants, solicitors, estate agents and other small businesses.
Saiela helps teams use tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Claude while reducing the risk of sharing client personal information. Its browser extension checks prompts in supported AI tools before they are sent and replaces detected personal information with placeholders. It restores the details in the response on the user's screen, so staff can carry on working.
The idea came from a concern SimpleKPI kept hearing from customers. Staff were using AI to work faster, often through personal accounts, but owners had little visibility into which tools were being used or how client information was being handled. Customers also worried that banning AI would simply push its use out of sight.
SimpleKPI built Saiela with those customers around three needs.
Protecting client information
Saiela looks for names, National Insurance numbers, tax references, bank details and other personal information in prompts to supported AI tools, and swaps what it detects for placeholders before anything is sent. The check runs on the user's own computer, and the text of prompts is not sent to Saiela.
Understanding how the team uses AI
The Saiela console shows which AI tools a team uses in supported browsers, on which accounts, and how often personal information was protected or stopped. Owners can approve the business plans they pay for, warn about or block personal accounts in those browsers, and get alerts when a new AI tool appears or a possible breach needs reviewing. Saiela records what happened rather than what anyone wrote. By default, people appear as IDs, and revealing a name requires a reason that is logged.
Documenting the safeguards in place
Saiela drafts documentation based on the firm's settings and recorded AI use, including a data protection impact assessment, records of processing and an AI acceptable use policy. Firms can export these alongside supporting registers and training records as a single evidence pack, to help them show an insurer, a client or the ICO how they manage AI-related data risks.
The launch follows the Solicitors Regulation Authority's warning notice on the misuse of AI, published on 17 August 2026, which addresses confidential client information being entered into public AI tools and reminds firms that they remain responsible for their professional obligations (SRA).
"Our customers weren't asking for another AI tool. They were asking how to keep using the ones they already had without putting client information at risk," said Stuart Kinsey, co-founder of SimpleKPI. "That's what we built Saiela around. And we wanted a small practice to be able to cover its whole team without paying for every seat."
Pricing and availability
Saiela is available now at saiela.co.uk and works with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity in the Chrome and Edge browsers. A free plan covers one person, with 25 protected prompts a month. The Team plan covers everyone in an organisation for £49 a month plus VAT, and every new account starts with a 7-day Team trial. Saiela uses a UK data region for customer data, and is built and supported by SimpleKPI's team in London.
